2 trips in 2024. To the opposite parts of the world. Scottish Highlands and Tokyo. Surprising similarities and things that were completely different. I was eager to visit these places all along, but thought: it is difficult. Not true, at all. Lessons learned, from many many aspects.
Both countries drive on the left, surrounded by water, have really nice people - even tough the challenging history, or even weather/earthquake events.
Whilst in the Scottish Highlands you can be wandering in complete solitude for hours, and embrace the nature,

Tokyo is the biggest city in the world. Still, I have never felt the presence of any suffocating crowds or tension in the air - which many big cities do have.
Last, but not least, the respect towards and living in harmony with nature along with the cutting edge high-tech is nothing less than fascinating.

These impressions are what I wanted to capture and now share: the special moments and atmosphere radiating from these 2 places.

Berlin: a love story. 7 visits over the course of 8 years (2016-23). The Metropolis (pun intended) of arts (to me), always being open to new ideas/experiences and the culture of live and let live.
The history, the parks, the lakes, the city gardens, the clubs, ruin pubs - the people: fascinating vibe, each time.
